Remarks & Descriptions |
| Barrel Temperature |
190‑240 |
°C |
Recommended processing temperature:190‑240°C. General HIPS processing range of 185‑215°C is also for reference. Avoid long‑term residence at high temperature to prevent degradation. |
| Mold Temperature |
40‑80 |
°C |
Carefully controlled mold temperature is critical for surface quality, weld‑line strength and warpage resistance. Higher mold temperature generally improves surface gloss and reduces internal stress. |
| Injection Pressure |
30‑150 (general PS range) |
MPa |
Due to rubber component in HIPS, relatively higher injection pressure and molding temperature are preferred. Sufficient holding pressure is required to prevent sink marks. |
| Drying Treatment |
2‑3 h at 80°C |
‑ |
HIPS features low water absorption; pre‑drying is generally unnecessary. Drying is recommended if material is stored in humid environment or exposed for long time after package opening. |
